The US catalyst manufacturer Pajarito Powder has appointed Christian Mohrdieck as the new CEO. The German physicist and long-time fuel cell manager was previously CEO of Mercedes-Benz Fuel Cell and CTO at Hyzon Motors, among other roles.

Cellcentric is showcasing its new NextGen fuel cell system as the centerpiece of its Hannover Messe 2026 presence. Following the global launch on April 20, the system is set to be on public display for the first time as a physical exhibit at the company's booth from April 21.

SolydEra is presenting its latest PMX platform for solid oxide fuel cells at Hannover Messe. The integrated system combines stack, hot gas peripherals, and controls. It features a modular design and is designed for power outputs ranging from several tens to several hundreds of kilowatts.

Fraunhofer ISE is showcasing its new production research for membrane electrode assemblies (MEA) for fuel cells and electrolyzers at Hannover Messe. The focus is on a new pilot facility as well as analyses of power-to-X and hydrogen supply chains.

Toyota intends to join the fuel cell joint venture Cellcentric as an equal shareholder. Daimler Truck, Volvo, Cellcentric and Toyota have signed a non-binding agreement to this effect. The goal is the joint development and production of fuel cell systems for heavy-duty commercial vehicles.

The Chair of Production Engineering of E-Mobility Components (PEM) at RWTH Aachen is developing a scalable fuel cell system for short-haul passenger aircraft with partners from industry and research. The three-year project GENtwoPRO is funded by the federal government.
