Following the ceremonial launch on the first day of the trade fair, the fuel cell module is expected to be on regular display at the booth from Tuesday onward. According to the company, NextGen is designed for heavy-duty applications. These include long-haul heavy-duty trucks, heavy-duty coaches, trains, large mining vehicles, and stationary power generation. According to the company, the technical features include a compact design suited for truck installation spaces, a 20 percent reduction in fuel consumption compared to the predecessor system, continuously available net power output even on long uphill gradients, and higher operating temperatures for more efficient thermal management. In addition, the system is said to enable low total cost of ownership and a long service life, according to the company.
At the booth, Cellcentric also plans to present technical details as well as production and commercialization plans for NextGen. According to the company, this will be complemented by insights into more than 30 years of fuel cell system development history as well as real-world deployments by shareholders Daimler Truck and Volvo Group and other customers.
Cellcentric can be found in Hall 11 at Stand D22.
