The Fraunhofer Institute for Microengineering and Microsystems (IMM) is showcasing a diesel reformer at the Hydrogen Technology World Expo in Hamburg. The device generates a hydrogen-rich gas from diesel fuel, which can directly supply a fuel cell at the site of use.

Beckhoff presents its automation solutions for hydrogen plants at the Hydrogen Technology World Expo 2026 in Hamburg. The focus is on system-integrated explosion protection, measurement technology for electrolysers, and an AI assistant for engineering.

The hydrogen B2B marketplace Hyfindr has developed a Hydrogen Supplier World Map. This shows more than 1,200 suppliers of hydrogen technologies—filterable and with detailed information on each provider.

Festo presents solutions in Hamburg to automate hydrogen plants in a modular and process-oriented manner. The focus is on the Remote I/O System CPX-AP-I.

The automation specialist Murrelektronik and the Marquardt Group, originating from the automotive sector, are focusing on their new cooperation. They present a joint approach for the automation and monitoring of modular hydrogen systems.

The Dutch manufacturer Vonk is showcasing the third generation of its platform for powering industrial electrolysers at the trade fair in Hamburg. Neya 3.0 is designed to simplify the integration of large-scale hydrogen projects and is rated for outputs of up to 7 MW.

WEH FluidTech expands its hydrogen portfolio with new solutions for refueling, infrastructure, and testing processes in the high-pressure sector. Focus: new filling couplings, quick adapters, and filters, valves, and fittings for pressure ranges up to over 1,000 bar.

Bürkert Fluid Control Systems presents intelligent fluid solutions necessary for stable processes in electrolyzers, fuel cells, test benches, and the H2 infrastructure.

The model of a reactor that produces hydrogen from waste via plasma pyrolysis and a testing methodology for coated pipelines can be seen at the Fraunhofer Performance Center Hydrogen Hessen.

At the Hydrogen Technology World Expo 2026, Tanaka Precious Metal Technologies presents solutions for the hydrogen value chain. At the booth, catalysts for electrolysis and fuel cells, palladium membranes, and precious metal recycling processes are on display.

Purem by Eberspächer showcases components for fuel cell systems at the Hydrogen Technology World Expo in Hamburg, including the latest innovation, the De-Hydrator for reducing moisture in exhaust air. Additionally, solutions for the hydrogen value chain and a concept for CO2 capture from the air are presented.

At the Hydrogen Technology Expo 2026 in Hamburg, Envirofalk is showcasing an expanded ultrapure water platform for electrolysers up to 100 megawatts. Additionally, the company is presenting a water treatment plant with digital sensors and a connection to a digital twin at the stand.

Co-organised by the European Commission, Hydrogen Europe and the Clean Hydrogen Partnership, in partnership with UNIDO, the EUH2Week 2026 is the go-to event for hydrogen players with an eye on Europe. Regulation, policy, technology, research & innovation, global markets (and more) will be at the core of the discussions in this week-long event, with the goal of making a carbon-neutral future a reality.

The FC³ – Fuel Cell Conference Chemnitz 2026 brings together international researchers, developers and industry experts to discuss the latest scientific findings, technological advances and practical applications in fuel cell and hydrogen technologies. With more than 60 presentations, the conference offers a broad view of current developments along the entire hydrogen and fuel cell value chain.

The H2 Forum Berlin brings together the pioneers of the hydrogen industry and puts real-world success stories center stage. Discover proven use cases, key success factors, and valuable lessons learned from failed projects. The program also focuses on offtakers, market strategies, regulatory frameworks, and innovative technologies shaping the future of hydrogen.

This year, the Hannover Messe struggled with a noticeable decline in exhibitors and visitors. This was also evident in the hydrogen area in Hall 11. Nevertheless, there were exciting innovations to see.

The Hydrogen Hub Rhein-Kreis Neuss/Rhineland is hosting a theme evening on March 24, 2026, in Neuss on the role of hydrogen technologies in the structural change of North Rhine-Westphalia. NRW Minister of Economic Affairs Mona Neubaur will deliver a welcoming address. Prior to this, a matchmaking event with Dutch H2 companies will take place.

At the 3H2 Forum in Basel, around 300 experts from politics, business and science discussed the role of hydrogen in the tri-border region between Germany, France and Switzerland. The focus was on cross-border strategies, concrete application projects and investments.

At the Hydrogen Technology World Expo in Hamburg, Purem by Eberspächer is showcasing new components and systems for fuel cells. The focus is on a hydrogen recirculation blower, a modular exhaust system, and series-production-ready valve solutions.

The HZwei and H2international team will also be present at the Hydrogen Technology World Expo. Our editors Monika Rößiger and Eva Augsten will be attending the trade fair and conference. In addition, we will be co-exhibiting at the booth of the German Hydrogen Association DWV. 

More than 120 exhibitors and around 2,000 trade visitors discussed technological advances, market prospects and regulatory frameworks for hydrogen at hy-fcell 2025. For the first time, the conference was included in the trade fair ticket – and was met with great interest.

At the 5th Central German Hydrogen Congress in Halle (Germany), more than 450 experts discussed the development of the hydrogen economy in the Federal States of Saxony, Saxony-Anhalt and Thuringia. The focus was on infrastructure projects, storage solutions and industrial applications.

At The smarter E Europe trade fair in Munich this June, the full spectrum of the energy transition will be on display—including many hydrogen industry exhibitors. HZwei will be present at the Gentner Energy Media booth, featuring two live expert interviews.

Processes for the production, storage and use of hydrogen scaling, reducing costs and increasing efficiency: The trade fair Hydrogen + Fuel Cells Europe in Hannover is again proving the progress the hydrogen economy can show.

Trade shows are short-lived affairs involving a lot of effort and energy for just a few hours in the spotlight, not to mention a heap of materials that need subsequent disposal. This extravagance often sits awkwardly alongside the focal areas of the events themselves, particularly when sustainable themes like renewable energy and hydrogen are on the agenda and the emphasis is on resource conservation not consumption. Keen to highlight – and where possible redress – this incongruity, Benjamin Low has taken action by founding the Sustainable Trade Events Partnership (STEP).
