Bürkert: Fluid Solutions for Scaling Hydrogen Applications

Bürkert

Fluidics involves tasks related to the control of gases and liquids, such as precise dosing, measuring, regulating, and shutting off media. In the course of scaling hydrogen applications, processes must function reproducibly, meet high safety requirements, and enable economical operation, emphasizes the company.

Intelligent valve islands, communication-capable components, and pre-configured system solutions enable seamless process automation and support the digitalization of hydrogen-based applications. For demanding operating conditions, solutions for dry and humid gases as well as ATEX-compliant components for explosive areas are also available.

Fluid Solutions for Electrolyzers

For electrolyzers, Bürkert offers solutions to ensure the quality of fresh water, continuously monitor the ultrapure water, and ensure stable pressure conditions on the anode and cathode sides. For stable plant operation, Bürkert offers solutions for safe shut-off of hydrogen, oxygen, and liquids, as well as energy-efficient cooling and temperature control systems.

Fluid Solutions for Fuel Cells

For fuel cells, Bürkert offers precise fluid solutions for the controlled supply of hydrogen and air, as well as for the reliable regulation of pressure and volume flows. This directly affects the performance, lifespan, and safety of the systems, according to the company. The control of flushing and drainage processes and the regulation of recirculation loops are also part of Bürkert's range of offerings.

Bürkert supports the automation of test benches and the H₂ infrastructure with transparent and networked process flows to reduce commissioning times and ensure the most trouble-free operation possible.
