According to the company, this is intended to simplify the integration of solid oxide fuel cells (SOFC). A single stack delivers up to 10 kW of electrical power. The electrical efficiency is said to be more than 60 percent. The platform features a modular design and can be cascaded. This is intended to enable configurations ranging from several tens to several hundreds of kilowatts.
The system is intended for use in decentralized power generation and combined heat and power applications. SolydEra states that the platform has been validated under real operating conditions.
In addition, SolydEra points to the European project EcoEdge PrimePower (E2P2) for the power supply of data centers and other critical infrastructure. For this project, the company developed and delivered fuel cell stacks as well as containerized 45 kW SOFC-based systems, according to its own statements. The units have already been completed and delivered.
