National Hydrogen Council calls for simplified regulation and infrastructure expansion

The National Hydrogen Council (NWR) has published eight theses for a future-oriented hydrogen policy. Among other things, it calls for simplified regulatory frameworks, the rapid expansion of infrastructure and reliable market structures for hydrogen and its derivatives.

Operators from Germany and the UK plan hydrogen pipeline through the North Sea

The transmission system operators Gascade Gastransport from Germany and National Gas from the United Kingdom have signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) for the construction of an offshore hydrogen pipeline between the two countries. The planned hydrogen corridor will run through the North Sea and aims to contribute to energy supply security and decarbonisation in Europe.

The regional energy supplier badenova has begun construction of a hydrogen pipeline in the Upper Rhine region. Through its subsidiary badenovaNetze, the Badenova group is among the first companies to actively contribute to the development of Germany's national hydrogen core network.

Intercontinental Energy, a global developer of large-scale green hydrogen projects, has unveiled a patented system called P2(H2)Node. Developed in Australia, the technology aims to reduce the production costs of green hydrogen by 10 to 20 percent, thereby accelerating the widespread adoption of this energy carrier.

Hydrogen Valley Rhein-Ruhr applies for 20 million euros in EU funding

A joint application for EU funding shall help more than 50 partners to develop the Rhein-Ruhr region into Europe’s leading hydrogen region. The consortium plans, among other things, 77 MW of electrolysis capacity and the expansion of hydrogen infrastructure for commercial vehicles.

Lifte H2 delivers hydrogen refueling station to Open Grid Europe

Lifte H2, a subsidiary of Px Group, has commissioned a hydrogen refueling station for Open Grid Europe (OGE) at the Krummhörn site near Emden. The facility is part of the KruH2 hydrogen pilot project and is used to refuel the company’s own fleet of hydrogen vehicles.
