New CEP Board to Advance Standardisation and Refuelling Infrastructure

The Clean Energy Partnership (CEP) announced a new board on December 1, 2025. Alongside Florian Brandau, who remains in office, Frank Fronzke from H2 Mobility Deutschland and Ignacio Garcia-Lorenzana from Hyundai Motor Europe have been newly elected to the panel.

With the new appointments, the CEP aims to continue its work on international norms and standards for hydrogen mobility and to more closely integrate the perspectives of infrastructure operation and vehicle manufacturing. Fronzke brings experience from operating Europe's largest hydrogen refuelling station network. Garcia-Lorenzana represents the perspective of a leading manufacturer of fuel cell vehicles in the passenger car and heavy-duty segment.

The CEP was founded in 2002 and has been organised as an industry-supported association since 2017. It operates technology-neutral along the entire value chain of hydrogen mobility. The goal is to make hydrogen applications in the transport sector more efficient, safer, and more economical.

The panel accompanies technological developments, supports the planning of a comprehensive refuelling infrastructure, and is active in national and international standardisation bodies. The CEP sees itself as a central voice for hydrogen mobility in Germany and Europe.

The previous board members Elena Hof, Paul Karzel, and Jörg Starr are leaving the panel. The CEP thanked them for their long-standing commitment.
