Pilot plant combines PEM electrolysis with heat pump for district heating

Fraunhofer IEG has commissioned a pilot plant in the city of Zittau, Germany, that for the first time feeds waste heat from a PEM electrolyzer into a district heating network using a heat pump. The aim is to improve the economic efficiency of hydrogen production.

Linde commissions electrolysis plant for Infineon in Villach

Linde has commissioned an electrolysis plant for the local production of green hydrogen at Infineon’s site in Villach. The plant covers the entire hydrogen demand of the semiconductor production and replaces fossil-based deliveries from Germany.

Linde and Mainz Public Utilities are extending their cooperation to meet the growing demand for green hydrogen.

Linde invests in PEM electrolysers for Energy Park Mainz

Linde and the municipal utility company Mainzer Stadtwerke are extending their joint hydrogen project at Energy Park Mainz. The plan is to replace the ten-year-old electrolysers with modern PEM technology with a capacity of 5 megawatts. Commissioning is scheduled for 2027.

Albert & Hummel develops automated test bench for PEM electrolysers

The company Albert & Hummel, based in the city of Bamberg, has developed a fully automated test bench for PEM electrolysers. The system enables standardized initial conditioning of the stacks and is intended to ensure reliable test results. Valves from Bürkert Fluid Control Systems are also used in the process.

Hydrogen as an alternative to diesel generators on construction sites

A hydrogen generator powered by a Toyota fuel cell and a new battery storage system are intended to replace diesel generators on construction sites. French manufacturer EODev presented both solutions for the first time in Germany at the Bauma trade fair.

Lifte H2 delivers hydrogen refueling station to Open Grid Europe

Lifte H2, a subsidiary of Px Group, has commissioned a hydrogen refueling station for Open Grid Europe (OGE) at the Krummhörn site near Emden. The facility is part of the KruH2 hydrogen pilot project and is used to refuel the company’s own fleet of hydrogen vehicles.
