The electrolyzer manufacturer Quest One and the hydrogen supplier Ryze Power have agreed on a strategic partnership to supply industrial and mobility customers with green hydrogen. The goal is to create a seamless supply chain from electrolyzer to end customer.
The first step of the collaboration is a trailer station at Quest One’s production site in the city of Hamburg, Germany. There, proton exchange membrane (PEM) electrolyzer stacks are manufactured. The hydrogen generated during research, development, and end-of-line tests will in future be filled and marketed at the new station operated by Ryze Power.
“This collaboration is aimed at removing barriers that hinder hydrogen projects,” says Nima Pegemanyfar, Executive Vice President Customer Operations at Quest One. By combining technological expertise with Ryze Power’s sales network, a practical supply solution for industrial users is being created.
Ryze Power is contributing its existing logistics to the cooperation. “Our trailers deliver hydrogen to customers in Germany and across Europe every day,” says Leander Hoffmann, Managing Director of Ryze Power Germany. The new station in Hamburg is further evidence of the technical feasibility of such solutions.
Both companies see the partnership as a platform for larger customer programs and projects at several locations.
Quest One is a manufacturer of PEM electrolyzers based in the city of Hamburg and Augsburg, Germany, as well as Houston, USA. The company is part of MAN Energy Solutions and thus of the Volkswagen Group. It evolved from the project H-Tec Systems, founded in 1997, and specializes in the development and production of electrolyzer stacks.
