Hydrogen projects to be implemented more quickly in the future

Germany’s Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Climate Action has presented a draft law to accelerate hydrogen deployment. The aim is to simplify and speed up approval procedures for hydrogen infrastructure. Comments may be submitted until July 28, 2025.

European Union Supports Studies for Underground Hydrogen Storage Facility in Lower Saxony

Storengy Deutschland will receive up to €4.5 million from the EU’s Connecting Europe Facility funding programme. The funds will be allocated to preparatory studies for the SaltHy hydrogen storage project in Harsefeld. Commissioning is planned for 2032.

Hydrogen specialist H2Apex is expanding its activities in the field of chemical hydrogen storage through its subsidiary Akros Energy. Johannes Emigholz, an experienced software entrepreneur, has been appointed CEO and is expected to drive the development of innovative storage technologies.

The new LOHC plant is to be built in the Chempark of Dormagen, Germany.
