Hyvolution 2026: Phinia presents solutions for low-emission drives

The American supplier Phinia is presenting new developments in hydrogen and alternative fuel technologies at Hyvolution 2026 in Paris. The focus is on solutions for hydrogen internal combustion engines (H2ICE), which, according to the company, are intended to contribute to emission reduction in the transport sector.

Technology focus on hydrogen combustion engines and vehicle conversions

Phinia is showcasing, among other things, an injection system for a high-performance V6 engine developed in collaboration with the Alpine Racing Team. Additionally, a converted diesel engine for light commercial vehicles, now powered by hydrogen, will be presented.

The company is also presenting two fully hydrogen-converted vehicles: a minibus and a van. Both include a complete H2ICE system, including the engine. The exhibition is complemented by technical components for high-pressure injection and emission control, which, according to Phinia, are crucial for operational safety and compliance with regulatory requirements in future drive systems.

“Phinia is driving progress in hydrogen and alternative fuel innovation, advancing and implementing technologies that can power the next generation of more sustainable mobility,” says Todd Anderson, Chief Technology Officer at Phinia. “By exercising the capabilities of fuel system technology through innovative design, we are pleased to support accelerating the industry’s journey toward reduced-emission transportation today.”

Phinia is a global provider of fuel systems, electrical systems, and aftermarket solutions.
