The US electrolyser manufacturer Power to Hydrogen has appointed David Bow as Chief Strategy Officer. Bow is to drive international market expansion and strategic partnerships. He brings over 25 years of industry experience.

GIZ and Thyssenkrupp nucera announced a partnership at the India Energy Week in Goa. The aim is to analyze and further develop the market for green hydrogen and Power-to-X in India. The basis is the H2Uppp program of the German Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Climate Action (BMWK).

Phinia is showcasing new technologies for hydrogen combustion engines at Hyvolution 2026 in Paris. Among other things, an H2 conversion of a diesel engine and complete vehicle conversions for light commercial vehicles will be displayed.

The lessor of zero-emission trucks, Hylane, has gained a new investor with Palladio Partners. The investment company acquires the majority of voting rights for certain areas as part of a capital increase and plans to invest a three-digit million amount in fleet expansion.

Mauritania has signed a framework agreement with Möhring Energie for the development of a PtX large-scale project. Starting in 2029, the plant is expected to produce up to 140,000 tonnes of green hydrogen and 400,000 tonnes of green ammonia annually for export.

The fluidics specialist Bürkert Fluid Control Systems has been awarded the "Supplier of the Year Award" 2025 in the "Innovation" category by the technology group GEA. The German company Hy2gen is planning a 200 MW plant for the production of synthetic fuels at the port of Oulu in Finland. The city is set to become the leading e-fuels location in the Baltic Sea region. A final investment decision is still pending.

Despite a slight decline in revenue, thyssenkrupp nucera achieved a positive result in the 2024/25 fiscal year. The Green Hydrogen segment significantly improved its EBIT, but recorded a massive drop in order intake. For 2025/26, the company expects a significant decline in revenue and earnings.

In Kløfta, Norway, Methanol Reformer and DRIV Hydrogen have commissioned a unit for decentralized hydrogen production from bio-methanol. The modular plant supplies high-purity hydrogen around the clock for mobile and stationary applications.

Hylane has brought the first hydrogen truck equipped with a Bosch fuel cell module into Germany’s road freight transport sector. The 40-ton truck from Iveco is operated by logistics company Schäflein for the Bosch plant in Nuremberg – as part of a rental model.

More than 120 exhibitors and around 2,000 trade visitors discussed technological advances, market prospects and regulatory frameworks for hydrogen at hy-fcell 2025. For the first time, the conference was included in the trade fair ticket – and was met with great interest.

The companies SIAD and Brembo are each investing up to one million euros in the Italian hydrogen start-up Hydrospark. The company develops solid oxide cells based on ceramic materials for emission-free energy conversion and storage.

Thyssenkrupp Nucera has published its figures for the business period from April to June 2025. The development is described as “stable and in line with expectations.” Ongoing projects are generating revenue, but there are fewer new orders.

The electrolyzer manufacturer Quest One has appointed Michael Meister as CEO and spokesperson of the management board. He had already taken over strategic leadership in February. In addition, Alexandre Ménage was appointed as the new CTO and member of the management board in April.
