Hydrogen industry associations from around the world gather in Hamburg

The Hydrogen Technology World Expo is hosting the Global Hydrogen Associations Meeting for the first time in October 2026. The meeting is scheduled to take place on October 20, 2026, at the Hamburg Messe. Organizers are the Hydrogen Technology World Expo and the German Hydrogen Association (DWV).

The format is aimed at international hydrogen associations, industry representatives, and political decision-makers. According to the announcement, the focus is on an exchange to accelerate the global hydrogen economy and support the international market ramp-up. The meeting is intended to serve as a networking and cooperation platform for stakeholders along the hydrogen value chain.

Panel discussion and networking for the hydrogen ramp-up

The program includes an internationally staffed panel discussion with representatives of the hydrogen economy. Following this, a networking reception and informal exchange are planned. The meeting runs from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM as part of the Hydrogen Technology World Expo 2026.

“The hydrogen ramp-up is at a crucial point: strategies are becoming markets, projects are becoming robust value chains, jobs, and real prospects for sustainable industrial policy and climate protection,” says Andreas Kuhlmann, CEO of the DWV. Building this new energy economy requires cooperation and exchange. The Hydrogen Technology World Expo 2026 in Hamburg is to be used as a stage for this exchange between industry, politics, and associations.

Charlie Brandon, Head of Trans-Global Events, points to the international context: “In many countries, measures to strengthen energy security, industrial resilience, and hydrogen infrastructure are currently being advanced.” The meeting offers national associations a forum to exchange experiences and strengthen international coordination.

Details on the agenda, speakers, and registration are to be announced at a later date, according to the organizers.
