Hystar has been recognised for the second consecutive year in the annual "World’s Top GreenTech Companies" ranking by Time magazine and market researcher Statista. The provider of Proton Exchange Membrane Electrolysers (PEM) improved from 142nd to 81st place. According to the company, this places it among a small group of Scandinavian firms on the 2026 list.
The New York magazine Time has been around for more than 100 years, and various rankings have been among its core content from the beginning, including "Person of the Year" since 1927 and the "Time100" (100 most influential people) since 1999. Since 2025, Time, together with Statista, has also been conducting a ranking of the top 100 GreenTech companies. The energy sector is particularly well represented, with General Fusion from Canada, a company involved in nuclear fusion, at the top. For Hystar, Time lists "Resources" rather than energy as the category.
According to Hystar, it recently launched the Orion electrolyser. The modular and scalable system is designed for integration into large industrial hydrogen plants. The company's patented PEM technology is intended to significantly increase the efficiency of electrolysis while simultaneously reducing the production costs of green hydrogen.
