Stargate Hydrogen announced a partnership with the British Seacht Group in Birmingham on March 2, 2026. This is the company's first cooperation in the United Kingdom. Stargate Hydrogen is based in Tallinn, Estonia, and develops ceramic-based electrolysis technology. The company produces and distributes both individual stacks (0.5 or 1 MW) and entire electrolysers as container solutions. The Seacht Group is a British energy and engineering group that manufactures pressure vessels, among other things, and offers services in the fields of natural gas networks and renewable energies.
Joint appearance at industry conference in Birmingham
According to their own statements, both companies aim to jointly gain market shares in projects for green hydrogen in the United Kingdom. Their first joint appearance was at the Hydrogen UK Annual Conference & Awards in Birmingham. There, they engaged with industry players, project developers, and political decision-makers.
“The United Kingdom is a strategic market for us, and we need strong local partners with the experience necessary for project development,” said Marko Virkebau, CEO of Stargate Hydrogen.
Further partnerships planned in the United Kingdom
The goal is to establish a long-term presence in the market. According to Stargate Hydrogen, the company plans to form further strategic alliances with engineering firms and EPC companies in the United Kingdom in the coming years. The company sees the British market as promising for decarbonisation through green hydrogen, particularly in industry and energy systems.
Stargate Hydrogen plans to build a market across Europe and adjacent regions.
