Construction start for French-German hydrogen pipeline

Creos Deutschland has commenced the construction of the first hydrogen pipeline in the Federal State of Saarland in the West of Germany. The approximately 17-kilometre pipeline between Leidingen and Dillingen is the German part of the French-German cross-border project mosaHYc. The construction period is expected to last around one and a half years.

ABO Energy signs cooperation agreement with Oulu

ABO Energy and the Finnish city of Oulu have signed a cooperation agreement to develop a green hydrogen facility. According to ABO Energy, the electrolysis capacity could be expanded in several phases to up to 600 MW.

Akkodis and EKPO test fuel cells for trucks in real-world operation

The engineering service provider Akkodis and the fuel cell manufacturer EKPO Fuel Cell Technologies want to validate the NM20 fuel cell stack in a truck in real logistics operation. The installation is almost complete, and commissioning is planned for this year.

Kawasaki Heavy Industries taps ABB for automation of Ogishima LH2 terminal

ABB will supply its System 800xA distributed control system for the Kawasaki LH2 Terminal in Ogishima, Japan. Kawasaki Heavy Industries selected the technology for what is billed as the world's first commercial-scale liquefied hydrogen terminal. The demonstration phase is scheduled to end by 2030.

Siemens Energy is preparing the legal and operational spin-off of its Transformation of Industry division. This division, with 17,000 employees and a turnover of 5.7 billion euros, also includes the electrolyser business for the production of green hydrogen.
