The Swiss cleantech company Synhelion plans to establish a commercial large-scale plant for synthetic fuels in the southern Moroccan province of Tan-Tan. The planned capacity is 100,000 tonnes per year. A corresponding memorandum of understanding with the Moroccan government has been signed.

The municipality of Bosbüll in North Frisia is expanding its district heating network. In the future, process heat from local hydrogen production will also be fed into the system. Construction is scheduled to begin in fall 2025.

The Finnish e-methane developer Nordic Ren-Gas and the Dresden-based electrolysis manufacturer Sunfire have entered into a long-term partnership. Sunfire will thus become the preferred technology partner for Ren-Gas's hydrogen and e-methane projects.

The Stadtwerke Stuttgart (SWS) are permitted to build their planned hydrogen production facility in the Stuttgart port in a revised version. Creos Deutschland has commenced the construction of the first hydrogen pipeline in the Federal State of Saarland in the West of Germany. The approximately 17-kilometre pipeline between Leidingen and Dillingen is the German part of the French-German cross-border project mosaHYc. The construction period is expected to last around one and a half years.

The Helmholtz-Zentrum Hereon, Meyer Werft, and Helmut-Schmidt-University are developing a metal hydride-based hydrogen storage system for large passenger ships in the H2MASS project. The onboard system is intended to deliver a target output of 4 MW during port operations and cover the hotel load emission-free.
