Quest One now offers Modular Hydrogen Platform as an outdoor variant

Quest One has expanded its Modular Hydrogen Platform (MHP) for large-scale industrial electrolysis. The platform is now also available as an outdoor version. According to the company, this eliminates the need to construct a separate hall along with the associated investments in ventilation or fire protection. The outdoor variant is particularly aimed at locations with limited space or restrictive structural requirements. It is also intended to integrate into the typically outdoor-operated environments of refineries and chemical plants.

Beyond the actual electrolyzer, Quest One has expanded the system scope of the MHP. The update includes integrated cooling systems as well as facilities for fresh water and hydrogen treatment. According to Quest One, it draws on expertise from its container solution ME450. The goal is to cover central interfaces to adjacent plant technology and reduce the integration effort on the customer side.

Modular 10 MW units for plants over 100 MW

The MHP is designed as a scalable PEM electrolysis platform. It combines modular 10 MW units into plants with outputs of over 100 MW. The modules are fully pre-integrated, including power supply and water treatment. According to Quest One, the system efficiency is up to 77 percent, which the company describes as a peak value in PEM technology.

The skid-based design is intended to enable quick integration into existing industrial environments. Additionally, Quest One offers services and warranties over the entire plant lifecycle. An MHP demonstration plant in Augsburg can already be visited.
