The importance of hydrogen and fuel cells, both at the national and international level, is strongly growing. Not only through the multitude of national roadmaps toward energy change but also by more and more companies entering the market with promising products is the maturity of the technology becoming increasingly clear. In order to offer safe products to as many regional markets as possible, it is vital to establish globally recognized norms, guidelines and harmonized standards. (more…)

Maroš Šefčovič, vice president of the European Commission’s Energy Union, spent twenty minutes during Hannover Messe to discuss the role of green hydrogen in the energy transformation with representatives from industry. The conversation at NOW’s booth was followed by the DWV and industry representatives presenting Šefčovič with a position paper by the industry. Hydrogen Car Garage Opened

Anyone who already owns a fuel cell vehicle and needs to have it repaired now has someone to turn to: Car dealership Karl Russ has opened its own hydrogen garage in Germany. The Mercedes dealership in Nürtingen invested more than EUR 70,000 in equipment and monitoring technology to be able to make all necessary repairs on fuel cell vehicles while complying with German safety standards. The garage had already been inaugurated at the end of 2015. Managing partner Stefan Russ told the Nürtinger Zeitung: “Thanks to our customers, we can already service F-Cell vehicles according the manufacturer’s instructions. Our new repair shop has us well prepared for future car generations.”
