Germany launches new funding round for fuel cell buses

The Federal Ministry for Digital and Transport (BMV) has launched a new call for funding to support the conversion of bus fleets to alternative drive systems. Fuel cell buses and related infrastructure are also eligible for funding. Project outlines can be submitted until August 31.

Hydrogen researchers warn of potential EU funding cuts

“Hydrogen future funding is at stake,” warns the research network Hydrogen Europe Research. The reason is the upcoming draft of the European Commission’s financial framework for the years 2028 to 2034, which will also determine the future of research funding. Although no official decisions have been made yet, the ongoing political debate suggests that budget cuts are likely.
