At the beginning of July 2019, the HyStarter tender was decided. Nine regions have been awarded the contract and will receive support for their entry into hydrogen and fuel cell technology as part of the HyLands overarching funding project. The sector is facing changes – this became clear during the general meeting of the National Innovation Program for Hydrogen and Fuel Cell Technology (NIP), which took place on June 1st and 2nd 2015 in Berlin. In March 2015, the German Federal Ministry for Transport and Digital Infrastructure (BMVI) introduced a new funding regulation: “Fuel cells for highly efficient combined heat and power units”.
