Female Energy Award goes to founder of the Academy for Climate Jobs

Anna Sauter-Getschmann, co-founder and managing director of the Academy for Climate Jobs, has received the inaugural Female Energy Award powered by enviaM. The award was presented as part of the Decarbon Days and recognizes outstanding commitment to clean energy and industry in eastern Germany.

Academy for Climate Jobs: recruitment and training

The Academy for Climate Jobs, based in Leipzig, offers training programs for so-called climate professions. The target groups are in particular women, migrants, and career changers. The programs combine technical know-how with language training, soft skills, and intercultural coaching. One stated goal is to increase the proportion of women in technical qualifications to at least 50 percent.

According to the Academy, the company offers an end-to-end solution for energy transition companies – from recruitment and training to the integration of new skilled workers. This is intended to accelerate the transformation to a climate-neutral society.

In addition to Sauter-Getschmann, Linda Glasenapp and Marie Sophie Lafrentz were also honored. Glasenapp is Head of Construction & Grid at LEAG Renewables and is responsible for the development of renewable energy projects on a gigawatt scale, including the integration of battery storage and hydrogen solutions. Lafrentz is the founder and managing director of the systems provider Gexx aeroSol in Wildau, which specializes in the energy transformation of buildings.

In its first year, the Female Energy Award carried a total prize money of €2,500 as well as non-cash prizes worth around €10,000. Supporters include enviaM, pyropower, and LEAG Renewables.
